Filmography

1. Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat  is a 1997 Hindi movie written and directed by Ashok Gaekwad. The film introduces prominent newcomers Shadaab Khan who is the son of legendary actor Amjad Khan and Rani Mukherjee. Although Mukherjee found ultimate success and became one of the leading actress of her generation, post her debut film, Khan's career was doomed after a few movies. Mala (Rani Mukherjee) works as a computer science engineer. One day her friend confides in her about her love affair with the son of a wealthy man, who has been intimate with her, but now is marrying someone else. Mala accompanies her friend to this male's wedding, disrupts it, and eventually ends up ruining the event. The groom's brother, Raja (Shadaab Khan) is enraged and insults Mala, in response to which she slaps him. Enraged all the more, Raja seeks Mala out, and in the presence of her pupils, brutally slaps and then rapes her. The police get involved and Raja is arrested. Raja's dad, Rai Bahadur Diwanchand, attempts to give some money to Mala's guardian, Gyani Kartar Singh, who refuses to accept it. The court case proceeds, and the Judge, overcome by Mala's evidence, finds Raja guilty, convicts him, and orders that he marry Mala within the next twenty-four hours. Raja's attempts to kill Mala are in vain, and both get married with great pomp and ceremony. After the marriage, Rai Bahadur goes overseas, and leaves his family, especially his elder daughter-in-law, Sharda, to deal with Mala, and ensure that she is belittled, beaten, and eventually driven out of their house. Will Mala be able to face up to the dominating Sharda and the rest of this family, in addition to Raja?

2. Ghulam is a 1998 Hindi Film directed by Vikram Bhatt starring Aamir Khan. The film was inspired by Elia Kazan's ON the waterfront (1954). It is the second remake of 'On the Waterfront' after Kabzaa starring Sanjay Dutt. Siddharth (Aamir Khan) is a Mumbai tapori, a boxing champion. His brother, Jai, makes money through a former boxing champion who now rules the community by terrorizing people and stealing money from innocent merchants. Siddharth saw his father's death when he was a child; this mentally affected him throughout his life. His father's words remained with him, though he had only been with his father for a little while. Siddharth meets a young woman, Alisha (Rani Mukerji) who rides with a motorcycle gang and Charlie (Deepak Tijori). This is a flavor for some comedy and a brilliant scene in which Siddharth is running towards a train and as the train is only a few feet away he jumps out of the way. Siddharth and Alisha meet for the first time and fall in love, and the typical love story follows. Siddharth meets another person who reminds him of his father, Hari. He learns a bit more from this man of wisdom and helps him in his truth. How he does this and the how the message of Hari and his father is carried out is what the movie tries to convey.

3. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is a HIndi romantic comedy film, released in India and the United Kingdom on October 16, 1998. The film was written and directed by the debuting Karan Johar and stars the popular on-screen pair of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in their fourth movie together. Rani Mukherjee features in a supporting role, while Salman Khan has an extended cameo appearance. Rahul Khanna ( Shahrukh Khan) and the tomboy Anjali Sharma (Kajol) are students at St. Xavier's College. They are the best of friends. One day Tina Malhotra (Rani Mkherjee), the principal's daughter, enrolls at St. Xavier's. She comes from London and she is beautiful, feminine, and sophisticated; she is the antithesis of Anjali. Rahul falls hard for Tina as soon as he meets her, which was just the time that Anjali realized that she has some feelings for Rahul, probably prompted by a careless comment on his part that she had heard, which equated love with friendship. This creates a romance triangle. One day, Rahul confesses his love for Tina to Anjali. Anjali leaves college suddenly, and she never calls or writes. Tina and Rahul marry and have a daughter, whom Tina names Anjali. Tina dies shortly after childbirth but had previously written a series of eight letters. Every year, on Anjali's birthday, she is given a letter and hears her mother's loving wishes for her. In the eighth and last letter, the little girl is told about her namesake. Where Rahul had been blind, Tina had noticed Anjali's emotions and pitied her deeply. Because Rahul hasn't remarried, perhaps his first love could be the mother that the young Anjali needs and wants.
Young Anjali believes that the older Anjali can make her beloved father happy again and decides to help her father reclaim his lost love. She soon recruits her doting grandmother (Rahul's mother, played by Farida Jalal) and grandfather (Tina's father, played by Anupam Kher) as accomplices. The unlikely conspirators locate Rahul's old friend and contrive to make Rahul and Anjali meet again. They meet in a camp where young Anjali had enrolled because her namesake is a counselor there. The namesake discovers, without the younger girl's knowledge, the truth of her new charge's parentage. Rahul soon finds old feelings reviving. However, Anjali has bowed to her family's wishes and is engaged to another man, Aman Mehra (played by Salman Khan). She will not break the engagement because Rahul refuses to confess his love to her. Complications ensue, but all ends well as Aman steps aside to let the fated couple marry at last. As the couple gets married Tina "comes back" and gives the thumbs up to little Anjali.

However, the police eventually arrive in the village in search of Mantavir and Badal's father tells him to run away, giving him some food as well. Mantavir manages to escape. However, Badal (Bobby Doel) sees his own family and the villagers being wiped out in a shooting encounter with Police Inspector Jai Singh Rana (Ashutosh Rana). Rani's persistence, however, causes Badal to eventually give in to her love. After several twists and turns he meets the treacherous Jai Singh Rana who has now become a DIG.

8. Hey Ram is a contreversial Indian Film released both in Tamil and Hindi in 2000 and written, directed, produced by and starring Kamal Haasan. A period drama told in flashback, the semi-fictional plot centres around India's Partition and the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. The film was a box office failure in India but when released the film was a blockbuster at worldwide (in part to numerous bans by local distributors leery of its heavy-hitting themes),and garnered positive reviews from critics who praised its performances and technical prowess, but steered clear of voicing an opinion on its artistic content. This film was sent as the Oscar nomination of the year for the category 'Best Foreign Language Film'. The movie begins at present day with Saket Ram (Kamal Hassan), an 89-year-old South Indian Brahmin who is dying. The scene reverts to the past as Saket remembers the 1940s, when he and his good friend, Amjad Ali Khan (Shahrukh Khan) were archaeologists working together under their boss, Mortimer Wheeler in Mohenjo-daro (Indus Valley Civilization) in Karachi. Relations are pleasant between the Indians and the English, and Saket and Amjad do not approve of Partition and the creation of Pakistan. Aparna Ram (Rani MUkherjee), Saket's simple Bengali wife, is a school teacher. She lives in Calcutta in the midst of riots and chaos over the issue of the formation of Pakistan and the call by Mohammad Ali Jinnah for "Direct Action". Saket goes to Calcutta and is swept into the madness. In one instance, Saket saves an innocent Sikh girl from the hands of a barbaric Muslim gang. When he returns to his house, he finds a group of Muslims entering his house. They brutally rape and murder Aparna. Saket, unable to cope with his tragic loss, kills the Muslims who raped and killed his wife in a fit of rage. Outside his house, he runs into another Brahmin, Sriram Abhyankar (Atul KUlkarni), who is part of a Hindu militant group determined to fight the Muslims' malice with similar brute force, and assassinate Gandhi for what they perceive to be his treachery towards Hindu dominated India (Gandhi wanted Hindus and Muslims to co-exist peacefully with hope of winning over the hearts of the rioters through sheer self-pity). However, Abhyankar and his fellow extremists had lost patience at what they deemed Mahatma Gandhi's unreasonable stand to appease Pakistan, who had already invaded Kashmir by that time. Gandhi was pressuring the newly founded Indian State to pay Rs. 62 Crore to Pakistan and some territorial concessions as well. Urged by family to remarry, he weds Mythili (Vasundhara Das). However, on a trip to Maharashtra, he reunites with Abhyankar and becomes a part of his militant organisation that plots to do away with Gandhi. Due to an horse-riding accident, Abhyankar is left a quadriplegic and has Ram swear that he will carry on his work, that of killing the Mahatma. Saket comes to the belief that Mahatma Gandhi (Naseeruddin Shah) is solely responsible for the division of India and of the two religions and also of having supported whom they viewed as the enemy. Hindu fundamentalists, including Saket, are furious and plot to murder Gandhi. However, Saket, after several incidents surrounding and leading to Amjad's death (with whom he reunites briefly in a congested Delhi area), changes his mind about Gandhi. He decides against assassinating the leader, and attempts to beg for forgiveness. Soon afterwards, Gandhi is killed by another assassin, Nahuram Godse. Ironically, Gandhi dies without his famous last words: "Hey Ram!" as popularly believed, and as in Richard Attenborough's film Gandhi (Film).  Then on, Saket Ram lives by Gandhian principles. As the 89-year-old Saket Ram is being taken to the hospital, he is told of bomb blasts in the city due to Hindu-Muslim communal riots. He asks "Innuma(even still)?". They were forced by the police to be taken into an underground shelter for their security, but Saket Ram dies there. In his funeral,Gandhiji's grandson comes and sees Saket's private room which is full of historical photos. Saket's grandson hands over Gandhi's footwear and spectacle which Saket had previously collected from the place of shootout and had treasured it all the while.

In a mix-up of different identities, Raju and Anjali fall in love and then, eventually, solve their misunderstandings.

10. Bichhoo  is a 2000 Bollywood film directed by Guddu Dhanoa. It is a suspense film, and the lead roles are played by Bobby Deol and Rani Mukherjee. This film is a frame to frame copy of the Luc Besson 1994 film "Leon" starring Jean Reno and Natalie Portman. Bobby Deol takes up the role of Jean and Rani steps into Natalie's shoes. In the original movie "Leon" Natalie portrayed a 12 year old girl whereas in this film Rani portrays a young lady. Jeeva (Sunny Deol) comes from a middle-class & strugging family, and is employed as a salesman in a store. He has the misfortune of falling in love with Kiran (Malaika Arora), who comes from a wealthy and influential family. Her dad (Ranvir Kapoor) is enraged and livid at Jeeva, and as a result has Jeeva's mom (Farida Jalal) and two sisters publicly arrested for prostitution, and eventually all three kill themselves. Jeeva with the help of a colleague (Ishrat Ali) extracts vengeance against Kiran's dad and his men. He is unable to save Kiran from killing herself. Now Jeeva is a professional killer, who will kill anyone for a price. He is in between jobs in his small apartment, when his neighbor's daughter, Kiran Bali (Rani Mukerji) comes to deliver his milk. While she is in his apartment, both of them bear witness to the brutal killing of the entire Bali family. Kiran Bali decides to report this incident to the police, not realizing that it was the police themselves who had carried out this execution. Now Kiran is on the run for her life.Jeeva takes Kiran in his shelter in order to protect her from the corrupt narcotics men who killed her family. This film had a great success.

He rescues a girl who has fallen in front of a train, and stays with her when she is rushed to a hospital. Pooja Oberoi (Rani Mukherjee), the daughter of a wealthy family, survives but falls into a coma. Her family rushes to the hospital and found Raj there, assumes that he is Pooja's husband, Romi, with whom she had eloped and whom they had never met. As the family gets to know the pretend Romi, Pooja's best friend, Jahnvi (Preity Zinta) soon starts spending a lot of time with him. He falls in love with Jahnvi, who is regarded as a second daughter by Pooja's family. How can he, or can he flirt with his assumed wife's best friend? Then Pooja revives from her coma and complicates matters by falling for Raj. Who does Raj choose - Jahnvi or Pooja? Raj chooses Jahnvi because he really loves her and acted as Pooja's husband out of the kindness of his heart. Raj marries Jahnvi and Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) comes in to marry Pooja.

The film was received poorly all over India. The film tells the story of Prem (Salman Khan), who earns his livelihood by performing at weddings and functions. Prem is in love with Nisha (Raveena Tandon), but fate has something else in store for them. Nisha walks out on Prem since she needs the money to cure her ailing brother, who is suffering from cancer. The only way to raise funds, as Nisha sees it, is by marrying a wealthy NRI. Nisha deserts Prem on their wedding day. Prem is heartbroken. Enter Priya (Rani Mukherjee), who comes to stay with her cousin Mona (Pooja Batra), an aspiring actress. Mona is the next-door neighbour of Prem and slowly, Prem starts getting attracted to Priya. But there’s a problem again. Priya gets engaged to Rahul (Inder Kumar), who, we are later told, is the same guy Nisha was supposed to marry. 13. Chori Chori Chupke Chupke  is a 2001 Hindi movie directed by the successful pair Abbas-Mustan. It stars Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta. Chori Chori Chupke Chupke is probably the first Bollywood movie to handle the taboo issue of surrogate childbirth. In 2001, the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) seized prints of Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, after it was discovered the movie was funded by the Mumbai underworld, which has resulted in a well publicised controversy known as The Bharat Shah Case. Raj Malhotra (Salman Khan) and Priya (Rani Mukherjee) are members of high society. They meet, get married and soon Priya falls pregnant. Soon after, Priya trips over a flowerpot and becomes infertile. The couple conceal this fact (through the advice of the doctor), and decide to secretly look for a surrogate mother to bear Raj's child. Raj comes across Madhubala aka Madhu (Preity Zinta), who is a prostitute and agrees to have Raj's baby - she is only doing it for the money. Raj conceals the fact that Madhu is a prostitute from Priya. After some much needed grooming, Madhu meets Priya and they all leave for Switzerland together to carry out their plan.
Soon enough Madhu is pregnant with Raj's child, and he happily tells his family that Priya is expecting (though actually she is not). Madhu is harassed by Raj's business partner who asks her for sexual favours. She is ready to leave the house, upset by the fact that Raj told his friend that she is a prostitute (though he really did not). The film begins with Michelle McNally (Rani Mukherjee), a blind and deaf woman, visiting her former teacher Debraj Sahai (Amitabh Bachchan), who now has Alzheimer's disease, in a hospital. The film then flashbacks to the past to her childhood. Michelle was a girl who lost her eyesight and hearing a few months after birth and exists in a black world where she is isolated in the darkness of her own existence, trapped by her inability to see, hear and express. She grows up becoming more and more frustrated by the black and dark world around her, making her a violent, uncontrollable eight-year old child. Her parents, Paul and Catherine, are at their wits' end trying to control her, until one day the light shines through the end of the tunnel. Debraj Sahai enters their lives, an elderly alcoholic teacher for the deaf and blind, Debraj sees himself as a magician and is a disillusioned eccentric man. He takes it upon himself to bring young Michelle into the light. He uses harsh methods, although always for Michelle's long-term benefit. Initially, his methods are met with disapproval by Michelle's father, who asks Debraj to leave. Although her father thinks he is gone, Debraj stays as the teacher while her father is away on business for 20 days. Her mother grudgingly approves of his continuation given her fear of Michelle being sent to an asylum. By the 20th day, Debraj manages to teach Michelle some words and better manners, but he has difficulty teaching her the meaning of words. When Michelle's father returns, Debraj packs his bags. At the very last moment, as he is walking towards the door suitcase in hand, Debraj gets frustrated with Michelle's continuing insolent behavior and he throws her into a fountain full of water. Michelle suddenly takes to Debraj's lessons at that moment and begins to understand meaning. She is able to recognize her mother and father, and can vocalize the first syllables of some words. The McNallys decide to keep Debraj as Michelle's teacher. Many years later, Michelle has learned a great deal, becoming relaxed and expressive, and she is even able to dance and expertly sign. Debraj convinces the Principal of a university to grant her an interview which she passes and gets admission to pursue a Bachelor's of Arts, the first deaf-blind person to do so at that university. Michelle moves away from home and lives with Debraj and one of her servants. Over the next 20 years, she struggles to gain her Bachelor of Arts degree, failing year after year, but she still maintains her spirit. One reason is that she must rely on Debraj completely for interpretation of the material and studying. This problem is overcome by the Principal of the school preparing the whole first-year Arts course of study in Braille. Another reason for her continuing failure is that her typing skills are lacking and typing is her only way to write down what she knows during exams. However, she also soon overcomes this deficiency through another flash of increased of competence when she almost quits the university and gets into an argument with Debraj. As the same time as Michelle suffers through and triumphs over her challenges, we also witness numerous other changes. Debraj begins to succumb to Alzheimer's, first forgetting the way out of the Principal's office and then forgetting Michelle and leaving her stranded during an ice cream celebration for her improved typing. We also see Michelle reconcile with her sister Sara, who we find out was jealous of her parent's affection for Michelle throughout her life. After attending Sara's wedding, Michelle begins to wonder about love, which she has not experienced, and she even asks Debraj to kiss her on the lips. Debraj reluctantly does so but decides to leave Michelle on her own because of this demand and the position she has put him in. Twenty years after enrollment, Michelle does manage to gain her BA, and with her proud parents looking on her, she even gives a speech to the graduating class. Wearing no black graduation robe, she thanks her parents and her teacher and she announces that she will only wear the robe so that her teacher may see her first. Debraj is in a mental hospital due to his almost complete inability to remember his past and even how to speak. Michelle visits him wearing her robe and we see glimmers of memory return as Debraj realizes that she has graduated and even does a victory dance. As the window opens to the rain outside, we see Debraj's hand in Michelle's reaching into the rain, and we hear the teacher-student pair say the first syllable of the word "water", with echoes of the scene in which Michelle first begins understanding the meaning of words earlier in the movie. However this time, it is Debraj who is beginning to learn to speak and understand. The movie ends on a hopeful note as Michelle who was originally the student now becomes aged Debraj's teacher. revolves around a blind and deaf

28. Paheli, released in India on 24 June 2005, directed by A,ol Palekar and produced by Gauri Khan, Sanjiv Chawla and Shahrukh Khan, who also plays the male lead. Paheli is based on the short story written by Vijayadan Detha and tells the story of a wife (Rani Mukherjee) who is left by her husband (Shahrukh Khan) have special appearances in the film. Enthusiastic young Lachchi (Rani Mukherjee) is to be married to Kishen (Shahrukh Khan), the son of the rich merchant Bhanwarlal (Anupam Kher). Kishen is a dutiful son who honors his father's wish to start a new, far-away business on a predetermined auspicious date, which happens to be the day after the wedding ceremony. On the wedding night, Kishen turns away from his wife to finish his bookkeeping, and in the early morning hoursLachchi is devastated; Gajrobai (Juhi Chawala), her husband's sister-in-law, consoles her, empathizing on the grounds that Gajrobai's husband (Sunil Shetty) has also disappeared. The next day, a ghost appears, having taken Kishen's shape and voice because of his own attachment to Lachchi. Lachchi is thus presented a riddle (hence the title "paheli") between the representation of all of her desires in the form of the ghost and her real husband. She takes this new, fond, sexual, magical, social, self-confident version of Kishen as hers. As Kishen, the ghost befriends all of the real Kishen's family and keeps Bhanwarlal happy by providing him with magical, possibly illusory, gold coins. His only blunder is in his treatment of the messenger Bhoja, who is perplexed by the idea that Kishen has sent a letter from his business trip only to receive it himself in his own house and offended when the ghost (who appears as Kishen) does not offer him a drink of water. Lachchi's bliss goes on until four years later, when she is pregnant and the real Kishen returns to see if the rumors about his wife's pregnacy are true. He returns to find the ghost in his (Kishen's) own form. Kishen's family is unable to determine which of the doppelgangers is the real Kishen (the ghost refusing to confess). They decide to visit the king so that he can arbitrate. On the way to the king they meet an old shepherd (Amitabh Bachchan) who helps them out. He asks the real son of Bhanwarlal to pick up hot coals, asks the real husband to gather the sheep, and asks Lachchi's real paramour to enter a water bottle. The real Kishen is found out and everyone returns home. Lachchi is devastated over the loss of the ghost. In the very end it is revealed that the ghost has escaped the bottle and taken control of Kishen's body  in order to live with her. By now Lachchi has given birth to a daughter, Looni Ma, by whose identification the ghost exposes his identity to Lachchi. The puppets close the film, remarking that the film's plot is "an old story". and visited by a ghost, disguised as her husband, who is in love with her and takes her husband's place. Sunil Shetty, Juhi Chawla. Rajpal Yadav and Amitabh Bachchan sets off on a business trip that is to last five years.

29. Mangal Pandey: The Rising (Indian title) or The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Pandey (international title) (released in India on 12 August 2005) is an Indian movie based on the life of Mangal Pandey, an Indian soldier who is known for his role in Indian's First War Independance. It is directed by Ketan Mehta,Aamir Khan plays the lead role of Mangal Pandey who was a sepoy whose actions helped spark the Indian rebellion of 1857, when India was ruled by the British East India Company. Mangal Pandey is a soldier of Indian origin, in the army of the East India Company. Pandey is fighting in the Anglo-Afgan Wars and saves the life of his British commanding officer, William Gordon (portrayed by Toby Stephens). Gordon is indebted to Pandey and a strong friendship develops between them, transcending both rank and race. Gordon rescues a young widow, Jwala (Ameesha Patel), from committing Sati (the act of following her deceased husband on to the funeral pyre). Afterwards, he falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Heera (Rani Mukherjee) has been sold into prostitution, to work for Lol Bibi (Kirron Kher). There is a spark of attraction between her and Pandey and a liaison follows. Gordon and Pandey's friendship is challenged following the introduction of a new rifle, the Enfield rifled musket. In reality as in the film, rumors began to spread among the sepoys that the paper cartridges that held the powder and ball for the rifle were greased with either pig fat or beef tallow. Since the process of loading the cartridge required the soldier to bite the cartridge open to pour in the loose powder, the soldiers believed that the process would require them to consume pork or beef - an act abhorrent concept to Muslim and Hindu soldiers, respectively, for religious reasons. In the film, Gordon investigates, and is told to assure Pandey that the cartridges are free from pollution. Demonstrating his total trust in Gordon, Mangal bites the cartridge. But Pandey soon discovers that the cartridges really are greased by animal fat. The rumour of this imposed pollution is the spark that ignites the powder keg of resentment in the country. Mutiny breaks out, led by Pandey. At one point Pandey and Gordon become involved in direct hand-to-hand combat as the latter tries to dissuade the sepoy from what he believes to be a futile exercise that will lead to only death. Pandey is captured and executed, despite the protestations of Gordon, who reasons that Pandey will be revered as a martyr and that his legacy will cause more uprising. This turns out to be correct, as the film closes to scenes of nationwide revolt against British rule. The film ends with a montage of drawings of the historical rebellion and the narrator describes the progress of the Indian independence movement over the next century. The montage ends with documentary footage of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi leading the Indian National Congress  during peaceful protests against British rule in the 1940s, eventually forcing an end to colonialism in the subcontinent. produced by Bobby Bedi, and with a screenplay by Farrukh Dhondy.

The child artistes include Akshat Chopra, Shriya Sharma, Rachit Sidana and Ayushi Berman. Directed, written and co-produced by Kunal Kohli, the film is produced and distributed by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. At the beginning of the film, Ranbeer (Saif Ali Khan a leading industrialist in India, is lonely because he has lost everyone who is dear to him. Out his own inattention, he mistakenly kills a husband and wife in an accident, whereupon the judge appointed to decide his position according to law sentences him to look after their four children, and to do so without ill-treating them or distancing them from himself. Because the children resent Ranbeer for his role in their parents' death, they desire revenge, whereas he is unprepared to co-operate with them, so that all of the people concerned are miserable. One day, the children pray to God (Rishi Kapoor) for help, whereupon viewers see a scene of God 'conducting' a morning sky and later discussing the activities of humans with a small number of fairylike, white-clad female angels. Here, God is presented as a good-natured, omniscient figure whose motives remain unclear but are implied to be wise. When the children's prayer becomes a subject of conversation, God decides to send Geeta (Rani Mukherjee), His favorite and the most whimsical of the angels, to unite Ranbeer with the children. This is a cause of dismay among the other angels, who perceive Geeta as irresponsible and envy God's favoritism of her. Despite their advice, God sends Geeta, warning that she is ordered not to use her ability to alter reality during her time on Earth. Geeta ignores this warning immediately and continues to use this ability throughout most of the film, providing comic relief. On Earth, Geeta appoints herself as the children's governess, surprising Ranbeer, and places the children in awe of her by use of her transformative powers. Later, she becomes ingratiated with the children by a combination of these powers with supportive affection, a compassionate but firm establishment of social structure, and positive regard. As a result, they begin to cherish her and depend on her for their emotional strength. Ranbeer remains perplexed and overwhelmed by her dominance of his affairs; but soon becomes enamored of her, despite the interference presented by his girlfriend Malaika (Ameesha Patel). Ranbeer's affair with Malaika is eventually terminated when the children spoil a party she is hosting. Later, Ranbeer and the children slowly become friends, with the eventual result that they gradually forsake their desire for revenge and treat him as they would an elder brother while he subconsciously assumes the role of father-figure. This development climaxes during their visit to California, wherein Ranbeer's American colleague insults the children, provoking Ranbeer to defend them. Also during this visit, the children perceive Ranbeer's growing attachment to Geeta and attempt to encourage it. Ultimately, Geeta becomes frightened by her reciprocation of Ranbeer's desires and flees, hoping to return to Heaven. Reacting to this, Ranbeer and the children go to a church to pray that she return to them. Simultaneously, God visits Geeta and converses with her on the subject of her new attachments and the question of whether she will remain on Earth as a part of their newly-formed family. Conceding to her wishes, God changes Geeta into a human and allows her return to the children. Thereafter Geeta marries Ranbeer and gives birth to a daughter, who is shown to have inherited the ability to alter reality, despite Geeta's loss of her own. This concludes the film.

He tells him that at least through the match his mother came, he came and that this is all he wanted. But Rohan understands how badly his father wants to win the match and so Rohan asks his father to ask Veera to come and play the match. She plays and she injures herself and Rohan comes to her help. Veera sees the love for her in Rohan's eyes. In the end they win and Rohan asks Veer to show his true identity and everyone is shocked that she is a woman. Everybody accuses her of being a cheat and Veera then goes and gives a speech. Everybody realises that talented women should be allowed to play with men in cricket teams and gives her a round of applause. In the end, Rohan and Veera are reunited.

40. No One Killed Jessica is a 2011 Hindi film starring Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan, produced by UTV Spotboy and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. The film has music by Amit Trivedi. Vidya Balan plays the character of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal, Rani is set to play a reporter. Upon release, the film met with positive critical and box office reception. The political thriller, set in New Delhi, is based on the media coverage of the controversial Jessica Lal muder case. The director clarified that the title and the script are actually inspired by a headline carried out by The Times of India in 2006, when the accused in the infamous murder case were acquitted by the lower courts, leading to nationwide protests, reopening of the case and subsequent sentencing of the accused, and not the case per se. The film, No One Killed Jessica is based on the true story of Jessica Lal, a Delhi-based model, who was shot in 1999 at a New Delhi restaurant by Manish Bhardwaj, alias Manu, the son of an influential Haryana politician. Jessica, along with actor and model Vikram Jai Singh, was closing the restaurant's bar for the evening when approached by Manu and two friends. Infuriated by Jessica's refusal to serve them drinks after the bar closed, Manu fatally shoots Jessica. The powerful family connections of the accused intimidated witnesses. It then became an uneven battle between Jessica’s family, especially her sister Sabrina and the politically-backed and influential family of the accused.
In February 2006, the court acquitted Manu and other accused due to lack of sufficient evidence setting off a public outcry and widespread protests. The backlash from the initial acquittal forced the re-opening of the investigation. In December 2006, Manu was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.
